Productivity Assessment for Employees with Disabilities
Application to become an Approved Assessor


Persons who intend to serve as approved assessors must fulfil the requirements in the Minimum Wage (Criteria for Approved Assessors) Notice, including possession of experience required in providing vocational rehabilitation or other services in relation to the employment of persons with disabilities and completion of the training arranged by the Labour Department, in order to be appointed. For details, please refer to the "Notes for application to become an approved assessor".

Ways of submission of application
(1) Online Application
You may submit the application and upload the supporting documents online. For details, please click "Submit Online Application" below.

(2) By mail
You may send the completed application form together with supporting documents to the address below by mail. (Note: Each applicant is only required to submit one application form. It is NOT necessary for an applicant submitting an application form online to send the application to the Labour Department again by mail.):

(If you are a serving approved assessor, please submit the application for re-appointment of approved assessor by logging in to the "Computer System for the Special Arrangement for Employees with Disabilities under the Statutory Minimum Wage Regime (for use by Approved Assessors)" or by mail.)

Deadline for application

Please submit the application form together with the required documents to the Labour Department on or before 13 February 2026 (Friday). We will inform you of the details of training and other administrative arrangements later.

Training arranged by the Labour Department

New applicants or non-serving approved assessors who fulfil the basic requirements after preliminary vetting by the Labour Department have to attend the following training course in person:

Date of training: 18 March 2026 (Wednesday) pm

Regarding the training arrangements, please pay attention to details to be announced later.
